For most of the players in the Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League it was a catch week in which they caught up with some of their outstanding rearranged fixtures. Leader Kevin Harris had no game and holds on to pole position with 90 points from 17 games while second placed Louis Burley had a vital encounter with reigning champion Mick Baker which he won 5-2 to put him on 85 points from 15 games. After his defeat Baker then played three more games in which he beat Mick O’Neill and Craig Capewell 7-0 and Martin East 5-2 to give him a total of 80 points and like Burley from 15 games.

Although the league has not reached the halfway stage at present the title already looks as though it could well go to one of the current top three players.
