West Midlands in division two of the BDO Inter County Championships moved another step closer to promotion to division one when they chalked up their seventh win in eight games returning from their away game against Cumbria with a 20-16 result to put them 11 points clear of third placed Berkshire and only four points behind leaders London who they play next in their final game of the season.
Both ladies teams won 4-2 with Sarah Roberts (20.16) taking the ‘A’ team’s award for the sixth time this season and Samantha Maiden the ‘B’ team’s winner with a 19.08 average.
Like the ladies the men’s teams also had the same result as they both finished all square at 6-6, taking the awards for the men were Mark Craddock (29.56) for the ‘A’ and for the ‘B’ Robert Smith (28.08).
