Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club maintained their three points lead at the top of the Netherton Thursday Night League with a 6-3 win away to bottom of the table Bull and Bladder. Rose and Crown bounced back after their defeat against Springfield Social Club to win 6-3 at home to Brickmakers ‘A’, who drop two places to fifth in the table, while Rose and Crown keep the pressure on the leaders to stay three points behind on 24 points. Also on 24 points are Springfield Social Club and Prince of Wales, the latter winning 6-3 at Brickmakers ‘B’.

As the league approaches the midway point of the season, Dudley Ex Serviceman’s player Robert Carr is leading the individual averages having won nine of his ten games so far.

The latest results are, Pensnett and Bromley 7 White Swan 2, Rose and Crown 6 Brickmakers ‘A’ 3, Brickmakers ‘B’ 3 Prince of Wales 6, Fairfield 2 Springfield Social Club 7, The Bell 4 Chainmakers 5, Bull and Bladder 3 Dudley EX Serviceman’s Club 6.

The Warwickshire men’s Super League are a couple of fixtures into the second half of their campaign and after playing eleven of the scheduled games just one point separates the top two teams. Brandon lead the field with 78 points and hot on their heels is reigning champions Coventry Bishopsgate, who have 77 points.

Last seasons runners up, Rugby are not enjoying such a successful campaign as they are currently next to bottom of the table on 34 points, just three above bottom team Birmingham Erdington.

In the Warwickshire Ladies Super League, after four games Cubbington ‘B’ are in pole position with four wins from four games giving them a perfect total of eight points. Bishopsgate, with one defat in their opening four games are two points off the leaders.

Highest finish so far goes to Nuneaton’s Natalie Gilbert, who has checked out on 155, while Bishopsgate’s Lisa Whitmore has the least darts of twelve.
