Warwickshire were quick to bounce back from their opening day defeat against Yorkshire in the premier division of the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships with a terrific 24-12 away win against Oxfordshire.
Saturday’s games saw the ladies record their second consecutive 3-3 draw with Wendy Adams (19.30) taking the match award, while the men beat their counterparts 8-4, Mark Archer the top player with a 25.69 average.
The ‘A’ team games on Sunday once again saw the ladies making it two in a row finishing all square at 3-3 and on this occasion it was Sue Gulliver’s 21.78 average that took the match award.
The men were in terrific form chalking up a convincing 10-2 win, their top average was 28.92 supplied by Ian McFarlane.
The win has seen Warwickshire move up four places in the overall league table from eighth to fourth.
