This coming weekend Warwickshire will be playing the second of their new season fixtures in the premier division of the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships and will have two hopes, the first to kick start their season after a 22-14 defeat in the curtain raiser at home to reigning champions Yorkshire and the second to avenge a 19-17 home defeat against their second opponents Oxfordshire.

In division two of the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships, West Midlands will be looking to add to their 20-16 opening victory over Leicestershire, when they will be taking on Norfolk at the Gilberts Wine Bar, Willenhall, WV13 2NY at the weekend.
Taking the oche for the Men’s ‘A’ will be, Martin Angell, Gavin Baker, Mick Baker, Glen Cullen, Andrew Forrester, Ian Jones, Chris Mason, Neil Pointon, Mark Rollinson, Ian Stanton, Doug Thompson, Peter Wyse and for the ‘B’ side, Jamie Barrowman, Shaun Carrol, Danny Coyle, Mark Craddock, Karl Hughes, John Platt, Paul Price, Avtar Singh, Jordan Singh, Robert Thompson, Mark Watkiss, Gary Watts. Reserves are Chris Hill, Greg Parkes, Simon Meredith.
Representing the ladies ‘A’ will be, Lisa Astbury, Gemma Barrett, Jackie Crew, Kath Jenkins, Sarah Roberts, Diane Tolley. Lining up for the ‘B’ team will be Kim Fellows, Claire Hobbs, Jackie Maiden, Sam Maiden, Shellbie Simmons, Heather Wright and the reserve, Doreen Kaye.

It was shocks all round in the Cradley Tuesday Night League as leaders Brickmakers were the sole winners in the top six places.
Playing at home Brickmakers handed their guests, the Vine a 7-0 whitewash to increase their lead at the top of the pile to ten points. Second placed Chainmakers ‘B’ lost their home tie with eighth in the table Roost ‘A’ 4-3, which was the same margin by which the third to sixth places lost. In turn Yeltz Bar lost at Netherton Sports and Social ‘B’, Gate (Colley Gate) were at home to Netherton Sports and Social ‘A’, Plough and Harrow were away to bottom of the table Roost ‘B’ and Jays bar were beaten at home by Bulls Head.
Least darts so far this season is 13, but Chainmakers ‘A’ man, M.Tonks narrowly missed out on a 12 darts leg as he scored 140,180,100, 19, 12 and wired the bulls eye, hitting 25 to finally go out in 15 darts.

Week two in the Sheldon and District Winter League and a 5-4 home defeat by Crown at Shard End as seen Crown at Olton knocked off pole position in the premier division taking over the top spot is reigning champions Saltley Amateur Gardeners and Old Bill and Bull, both on maximum points from the opening two games, Saltley had a 6-3 win at Highwood ‘A’, while Old Bill and Bull won 5-4 at Kingshurst and District Labour Club.
In division one Raven’s 5-4 win over Willclare Sports and Social sees them in the number one position, but only by one leg of average over Sheldon Social, who also won 5-4 against Crown – Forget-Me-Not.
Baldwin Bears are the early pacesetters in division two, a convincing 8-1 home win over Meadway Sports and Social has taken them to them to the top of the table, ousting Ridgemere Social, who lost their home tie with Highwood ‘B’ 5-4.

A final 5-3 win over the Raven has given Riley’s Kings the group ‘C’ title in the South Birmingham League, Crown at Shard End fell short on average and had to settle for the runners up spot.
Mackadown Social wn the group ‘A’ division, with a perfect ten wins in as many games. St John’s won group ‘B’.
The Rose Bowl title went to Mackadown Social, with Riley’s Kings runners up.

Gulp Tribe now have a massive ten point’s lead, plus a game in hand over their nearest rivals Emerald Club at the top of the Small Heath League. Emerald Club and Sheldon Marlborough Flights were the week’s top scorers, in turn defeating Redhill Wanderers and Custard House Flights 7-2.

The Camp Hill League has staged the semi finals of two of their competitions. There were no shocks in the League Cup as second in the table Cotterills Lane Club beat third placed Bordesley Labour Club and mid table Wagonners won against Station who are just below them in the table.
There was just one game in the Consolation Cup last four as Shaftmoor Lions had a bye, they will now face Scruffy Ringers in the final after they accounted for Devil’s Club.

Otter and Vixen ‘B’ lost ground in the division one title race in the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League, losing 4-3 to their local rivals Otter and Vixen ‘A’. The ‘B’ are now four points behind leaders Village ‘A’ and have played one game more Village ‘A’ won 5-2 away to Wolverhampton Sports Arena.
Division two provided a top of the table clash with leaders Village ‘B’ playing hosts for second in the table Bull. The outcome was a 4-3 win for the home side to open up a two points lead over their visitors.

The Tettenhall Wednesday Night League was another league that saw the top two teams play each other and once again it was the leading team that came out of the fixture on top. Riley’s ‘B’ were the home side and league leaders, with Wednesfield FC their opponents. The result was 5-2 to Riley’s giving them 46 point’s to their opponents 44.

The Pip Club League have got their winter season underway and after two fixtures, three teams, Bulls Head ‘A’, Belgrave Club and Dosthill Club have won their two games and are placed one to three in that order with only average separating them.
