For the first time this season Warwickshire County Darts Organisation recorded back to back wins in the premier division of the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships. Following their 24-12 win over Surrey Warwickshire travelled to Wales to play Glamorgan and returned with a 23-13 victory to consolidate their fourth place in the table.
Saturday saw the ladies romp to a 5-1 win with Louise Graham (18.31) their top player, while the men’s ‘B’ side made it three consecutive draws, with Matthew Edgar (28.28) taking the match award in the 6-6 scoreline.
Sunday was good news all round as both the ladies and the men won. The ladies team had a 4-2 win with the impressive Trina Gulliver making it six straight match awards with a 23.81 average and for the men it was Nigel Heydon, who was in tremendous form registering a blistering 32.85 average in the team’s 8-4 win.
