A home tie against bottom of the premier division Surrey saw Warwickshire chalk up their second win of the six match season so far in the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships. Playing at the Foleshill Club, Coventry, Saturdays games saw the ladies earn their second win of the campaign, a 4-2 success with Marian Conway taking the match award with a 17.08 average. The men were in top form wining their game convincingly with a tremendous 11- result. Matthew Edgar recorded a straight 4-0 win over Mark Budd and in the process won the man of the match with a fine 30.83 average.
Trina Gulliver (29.47) won her fifth consecutive lady of the match awards in the ‘A’ teams 3-3 draw, the men also finishing all square at 6-6 with Tom Aldridge their top player with a 30.91 average.
