In division one West Midlands hosted next to bottom of the promotion table County Durham, a game which the home team really would have been expected to win and one which would have lifted away from the lower region of the table.
Paul Price (27.69) took the match award in Saturday’s ‘B’ game, but his side went down 7-5. The ladies ‘B’ recorded their third draw in five games, with Heather Wright (17.71) making it four out of five award wins.
The men’s ‘A’ side had a 7-5 win, Nick Fullwell’s tremendous 32.09 average earning him the team’s award. The ladies ‘A’, similar to the ‘B’ finished all square at 3-3, Jackie Crew (20.04) their top player.
