A premier division away game against Lancashire in the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships was never going to be an easy one for Warwickshire after losing 22-14 at home to them last season. The result, despite not winning was however a better result as the hosts finished 20-16 winners.
The only defeat of the weekend was the 9-3 reversal of the men’s ‘A’ side, Ian McFarlane (28.26) their top man. The ‘B’ team were 7-5 winners, with Matthew Edgar’s super 31.01 average taking the match award.
It was better news for the ladies teams who have both been struggling this season, each of the recording a 3-3 draw. Ladies of the match were Trina Gulliver (26.37) for the ‘A’ and Lisa Whitmore (19.71) for the ‘B’.
