Warwickshire County Darts Organisation began 2013 in style by recording their first win of the season in the premier division of the Riley’s BDO Inter County Championships. After three consecutive defeats a home game against Devon saw them win 20-16, after most of the fixtures had been cancelled due to the snow.
It was good news for the men’s teams as the ‘A’ won 7-5, Nigel Heydon their top man with a 29.04 average and the ‘B’ won 8-4, Robert Hawker (28.50) their man of the match. However, not such good news for the ladies as the ‘A’ lost 4-2, with Trina Gulliver showing some of her old form with a 28.51 average and the ‘B’ side finishing all square, Marian Conway taking the award with a 17.09 average.
