In division one of the Four Oaks and District League Sutton Sports 8-1 win over Old Oscott WMC has seen them go two points clear at the top of the table. Red Lion Flights lost for the first time in four games, going down 5-4 at home to Old Oscott Arrows to put them on the same six points as Fox Flights, who won 9-0 as hosts to Anvil Nomads and their victors Old Oscott Arrows.
Drakes Drum and The Leopard both win to remain unbeaten in division two on eight points, two ahead of Deer’s Leap Stags and Sutton Park Hotel.
Heartlands, Beehive and Plough and Barrows all win to stay tied on six points a the top of division three, Heartlands having to win the last three games against Bromford Club to seal a 5-4 win.
There were maximums for G.Gaughan (Anvil Nomads), C.Hill (The Leopard) and T.Comerford (Sutton Park Hotel).

After the opening two fixtures in the Aston League three teams Red Lion, Oscott Social and Riley’s all have maximum four points at the top of the table, Sportsmans Rest in fifth place are also unbeaten but have only played one game.

The Divisional Cup was the order of the day for the Pip Club League and in division one there were wins for Sports Bar ‘180’ and Bulls Head (Polesworth), while in the second division Pip Club, Travellers and Belgrave Club all won to progress to the next round.
There were bye’s for J.W.Belgrave and Dosthill Club in division one and Royal Oak in division two.

The Small Heath League wrapped up their season with a rearranged second division fixture between The Clock and Cobs Bar. With both teams at the foot of the table there was only pride to play for and although Cobs Bar took the 5-4 result they still finished with the wooden spoon.

The Forest of Arden Winter League got their new season underway and in division one there were 6-3 wins for Riley’s Flights in a local derby with Riley’s Red Arrows and Greville Arrows who beat Old Bill and Bull. Highwood ‘A’ and The Grange in turn had 5-4 wins over Harvester and Highwood KB.
In division two three teams chalked up 7-2 wins, The Crane, Highwood ‘C’ and Sheldon Flights at the expense of Ivy Leaf, Chelmsley Town and Greville Arms. Crown Arrows accounted for Riley’s Wings with a 6-3 result.

Punchbowl are the early pacesetters in the South Birmingham League, a 5-4 win in their home tie with Raven Flights giving them a maximum six points from the opening three games. Mackadown Social are second with four points from two games and Riley’s Wings are the only other undefeated team in the division on two points.
In league table order Coleshill Social, The Centurion, Banbury Flights and Pavilions are all on four points in division two, Banbury and Pavilions having a game in hand on the two teams above them.

Just one fixture was played in the preliminary round of the Punch Bowl in the Sheldon and District Winter League, which saw Old Bill and Bull, from the premier division record a 7-2 win at home to Greville Arms, who play in division two.

The Camp Hill League staged their Captains and Secretaries competitions and taking the title in the former was Tom Humphries from Crown Arrows, with John O’Connor (Roosters) runner up.
The Secretaries competition winner was again supplied by Crown Arrows, this time it was Ada Radbourne who beat Mitch O’Donnell (Roosters) in the final.

The West Midlands Super League played off their men’s and women’s singles competitions at the Gilberts Bar, Willenhall. With winning legs of 15, 14 and 18 darts the winner was Ian Jones from Tipton. Jones beat fellow Tipton player Andy Forrester 3-1 in the final, Forrester’s winning leg was 17 darts.
Losing semi finalists were Mark Rollinson (Dudley) and K.Noakes (Wednesfield).
The ladies title went to Wednesbury’s Heather Wright, who had a 3-2 success against Great Wyrley player Gemma Barrett in the final.
Losing out in the last four were Lisa Astbury (Wednesbury) and S.Kaye (Darlaston).

The Brandon Club, Brandon, Coventry was the setting for the Brandon Open and the final brought together two Warwickshire county players, Nigel Heydon and Prakash Jiwa. The 6-4 result went in favour of Jiwa, who collected the top prize of £350, Heydon received £150.
There was £65 for the losing semi finalists, Ian McFarlane and Trevor Frost, while the losers in the quarter finals Mark Strong, Jimmy Hill, Ian Shaw and Antony Allen, each received £35.
