The League Cup semi finals were the order of the day for the Sheldon and District Winter League. In the premier division leaders Olton RBL had a close 5-4 win against Sheldon Dukes whose S.Edwards recorded the solitary 180 of the round. Saltley Amateur Gardeners, who are second in the table had a more comfortable 8-1 win over Old Bill and Bull.
Both of the division one games finished with 5-4 results, third placed New Firs Flights accounting for EBAHA who are second in the table. Shock of the division was the win by fifth placed Forget-Me-Not, who beat current leaders Pavilions.
Castle Vale Residents Association, second in division two beat their nearest league rivals Sheldon Social 5-4, while fourth placed Glebe Community Association lost 7-2 to Custard House, who are one place behind them in the table.
No surprises in the division three games as Langley Hall Sports and Social won 7-2 against Centurion and George V got the better of their opponents, Shirley RBL Misfits with a 6-3 verdict.
The finals will be staged at Meadway Sports and Social on Thursday 26th April.

There was a fitting climax to the season in division one of the Four Oaks and District League when the top two teams Sutton Sports and Deer’s Leap met on the latter’s board for what was a title decider. Sutton Sports got the 6-3 result to retain the first division title in a very closely contested year. Deer’s Leap and Plough and Arrows must now wait until next week to decide who will be runners up.
Red Lion Flights secured the second division title with an emphatic 8-1 victory over Oscott Social Clarets. Pint Pot Nomads, with a similar 8-1 win over Oscott Social Reds clinched the runners up spot.
In the final games of the third division the Gate recorded an impressive 7-2 win over the divisional runners up Erdington Arrows. However, special mention must go to Drakes Drum, who with a final 8-1 win over Bishop Vesey completed the season as the only team in the league to have not lost a league fixture, a perfect fourteen wins in as many games.

The Camp Hill League have been playing off a couple of the cup competitions, first the Captains Competition which was won by Carl Winters from the Sportsman. Carl defeated Devils Club representative Michael Looby in the final.
The Secretaries Competition title went to Darryl Jelley from the Lady Westminster, with Roosters Michael O’Donnell taking the runners up trophy.
The league will be holding their AGM for the forthcoming season on Wednesday April 11th. The meeting will be held at the Wagon and Horses, 28 Adderley Street, Digbeth, B9 4ED and will commence at 8.00pm.

Congratulations to Nick Fullwell on winning the New Mount monthly title for March. Nick beat Richard Hosey in the final of the main competition. Losing semi finalists were Matt Padgett and Reece Robinson.
In the 301 feature competition it was Ian Jones who walked off with the top prize after beating Adam Johnson in the final.
The next monthly darts evening at the New Mount Social Club, 214 St Margaret’s Road, Ward End, B8 2BG, will be on Friday 13th April and again for a £5 entry fee there will be the main 501 best of five legs knockout plus a feature competition.

The Rowley League produced a top of the table clash this week with Gate Hangs Well, second in the table hosting league leaders Wilson Hall. The result was a 6-3 win for Wilson Hall, giving them 18 points and a clear two point’s lead over the rest of the field. Gate Hangs Well have dropped to fifth place behind Boat, Ivy Bush ‘A’ and Ex-Serviceman’s, all four on 16 points. In their respective fixtures Boat beat Golden Cue 5-4, Ivy Bush ‘A’ beat Fairfield 6-3 and Ex-Serviceman’s had an emphatic 8-1 home win over Rowley Olympic.
Bottom of the table Spring Meadow are now the only team not to have chalked up any points so far in the first ten games, their latest fixture seeing them go down 6-3 away to Hunting Tree,

The Forest of Arden Winter League have been engaged in the quarter finals of their Presidents Cup and the results saw Riley’s Flights beat fellow division side Old Bill and Bull 5-0, while in the other all first division clash Riley’s Red Arrows on 5-4 at home to Highwood.
Greville Arms, from division two lost 6-3 away to Riley’s Red Arrows from division one.
The fixture between Riley’s Wings (Div 2) and Harvester (Div 1) is a late result.

It’s close at the top of the two divisions in the Pip Club League with only average separating the top two teams. In division one Red Lion, after a 10-6 win at Progressive Club lead the way, with Bulls Head (Polesworth) hot on their heels with the same 12 points after their 9-7 win at Birchmoor Club, but trail on average.
In division two it’s Sports Bar ‘180’ who lead the way after a 10-6 victory at Two Gates Club. On the same 12 points as Sports Bar ‘180’ is Pip Club, their latest result a somewhat surprising 8-8 draw at home with next to bottom of the table Royal Oak.
In the league’s Sports Bar Knockout quarter finals there were wins for Red Lion, J.W.Belgrave Club and Bulls Head (Polesworth) in division one, while in the second division Pip Club and Sports Bar’180’ go through to the next round.

There was a shock for leaders of the Small Heath League Mitre this week as they lost for the second time in 14 games, a 5-4 defeat away to third placed custard House. Nevertheless, Mitre remain in pole position, but now only on average from Scanlons ‘401’ who won their home tie with Sheldon Marlborough Flights 6-3.
Well done to bottom of the table Cobs Bar, who registered their first win in 13 games, a 5-4 win away to Wagon and Horses, but despite the win Cobs Bar remain rooted to the foot of the table.
