It was not such good news for West Midlands who travelled to the capital to take on London. However, a share of the spoils was better than nothing at all. In Saturday’s game the ladies went down 5-1, Lisa Maiden (15.55) their sole winner, while the men earned a 6-6 draw, Doug Thompson (27.83) their man of the match.
Sunday saw the ladies draw 3-3, Jackie Crew (17.48) their top player and the men had an 8-4 victory with Ian Jones in outstanding form as he chalked up a fabulous 31.34 average.
