Warwickshire, playing at home to high riding Cheshire in the premier division recorded their first win in three, a 20-16 result to lift them away from the foot of the promotion table.
Three of the teams, the men’s ’A’ and ‘B’ plus the ladies ‘A’ finished all square with Martin McGeeney (30.79), Steve Giddings (27.92) and Trina Gulliver (24.24) taking the respective match awards, but putting the icing on the cake were the ladies ‘B’ who with a lady of the match award by Angela Jones (20.76) won their game 5-1.
