The first division of the Four Oaks and District League produced no fewer than six maximums this week, two of them provided by M.Archer (Plough and Arrows) in an 8-1 win over Pint Pot Flights, whose sole winner, W.Mynard also found the three treble twenties. Sutton Sports J.Kavanagh recorded his second consecutive 180 as his team won 7-2 at Old Oscott Arrows, L.Jones grabbing a 180 for the hosts. Boldmere Sports K.Day was the other player to hit a maximum, his side won 5-4 away to the Fox Inn.

Pint Pot Nomads continued their unbeaten run by inflicting the first defeat of the season on Oscott Social Clarets, a 6-3 success to leave them level on the same six points as the Clarets with a game in hand. Red Lion Flights also preserved their 100% start to the season with an 8-1 away win against Oscott Social Reds.

Just one leg of average separates Erdington Arrows and Drakes Drum at the top of division three, the former beating Plough and Barrows 7-2 and the latter scraping home 5-4 at Deer’s Leap Stags.

Leamington, reigning champions of the Warwickshire men’s Super League, are leading the way once more, topping the table with 46 points from six games, while the chasing pack of Bishopsgate, Coventry Bishopsgate and Rugby, all on 43 points have played seven fixtures.

The Small Heath League have got their winter season underway and have added a further four teams to take the tally to ten. Biggest win in the curtain raiser were Emerald Club who handed out a 9-0 whitewash to newcomers Sheldon Marlboro Flights. Two other newcomers to the league, Midland Darts Centre and Scanlons both had away fixtures, Darts Centre winning 6-3 away to the fourth new team Cobs Bar and Scanlons winning 7-2 at Wagon and Horses. Reigning champions Mitre won 7-2 at Custard House Flights, while Custard House won 8-1 at Redhill Tavern.

Forgers and Waggoners have dropped behind in the Camp Hill title chase, Forgers losing 4-3 at home to Custard House and Waggoners going down 5-2 at Lady Westminster. Sportsman stay in pole position after their 6-1 win away to bottom team Scruffy’s Mob, extending the winning run to five games and Lady Westminster remain two points behind them.

Rooster chalked up their first win of the season a 4-3 result away to Devils.

Matt Gallett may not have won the final of the PDC Youth World Championships at Crawley last Friday but he did gain a lot of experience for future competitions. He began the day in fine form winning his first round tie with Robbie King 5-0, but then doubles got the better of him and he made his exit losing 5-3 to eventual finalist James Hubbard, who will appear on television in the Grand Slam.

It was all change at the top of division two of the Sheldon and District Winter League as former leaders Castle Vale Residents Association lost 5-4 to middle of the table Glebe Community Association and drop to second place. Ridgemere Social take over the top spot after winning 6-3 at Scanlons, giving them a slender one point advantage over the rest of the field. Custard House, who lost 6-3 at Sheldon Social drop one place in the table to third..

EBAHA won for the first time this season, a 6-3 home win over Shard End Social and as a result move off the bottom of division one.

In the Tamworth Sports Bar League, Three Horse Shoes have opened up a five points lead at the top of the table following their 5-2 home win over bottom team Session Bar. Sports Bar 180 who are second had a close 4-3 verdict at home to Moat House. After the leading duo comes a gap of 12 points with Session Bar Flights in third place.

Only two players have 100% wins in the Players League, Mark Tomlinson (Three Horse Shoes) and Trevor Barrs (Sports Bar 180), they are three points ahead of the remaining players.

Winner of the Singles Knockout in division one of the Pip Club League was Mark Martin (Dolphin), who beat Daz Jones (Red Lion) in the final. The division two title went to Tom Parker, from the Queens Head, with Mark Edwards (Pip Club) taking the runners up spot.
