Week two in the Small Heath League and the top two teams from the previous season, Mitre and Custard House squared up to each other again. Mitre, the hosts, ran out 7-1 winners but the result could have swung either way, it was all down to finishing doubles and on the night the Mitre team were the sharper.

Last seasons wooden spoon winners, Wagon and Horses had a 5-3 win over Devils and with the same scoreline Emerald Club won away at Custard House Flights.
