The final fixtures of the season in the Four Oaks and District League, division one provided quite a shock as all top four teams lost. Leaders and champions Sutton Sports went down to seventh placed Deer’s Leap 5-4, only their second defeat of the campaign, second placed The Fox lost 6-3 at home to Fox and Dogs, while third in the table Old Oscott Arrows hosted bottom of the table Golden Hind and went down 5-4. Boldmere Sports lost their away game against nearest rivals Sportsmans Rest 6-3, but held on to fourth place with a superior average.
Match of the week had to be the second divisions Anvil Nomads versus Oscott Social Clarets. Both teams were fighting for promotion and in a tense and very close match Anvil Nomads triumphed by 6-3 to guarantee promotion to division one next season. In division three both second in the table Oscott Social Reds and third placed Brookvale won, giving both teams 18 points, Brookvale have one more game to play, which they must win to gain promotion.

In the Sheldon and District Winter League the top three teams in the premier division won, leaders Olton RBL had a 7-2 result away to Stechford Social to give them 28 points, second in the table Saltley Amateur Gardeners are four points adrift and have played one more game than Olton after winning 8-1 at Riley’s, and third placed Old Bill and Bull on 20 points won 6-3 at home to Sheldon Dukes.
In division one Highwood ‘A’ held on to their five points lead, handing out a 9-0 whitewash to bottom of the table Meadway Sports and Social, while in division two three teams, New Firs Flights, Forget-Me-Not and Shard End Social all have 28 points, Shard End having a game in hand on the other two. Not out of the frame are fourth placed This is Darts who are currently on 26 points, but do have a game in hand on both New Firs and Forget-Me-Not.
Ridgemere Social are in pole position in the third division with 32 points from 17 games, Maggies are second with the same 32 points but have played 19 games.

The quarter finals of their Consolation Cup was on the fixture card for the Forest of Arden Winter League and biggest winners of the round were Old Bill and Bull who with a 6-3 verdict accounted for Kenny’s Boys. All the other three games finished with 5-4 scorelines, Highwood ‘A’, Sheldon Arrows and Greville Arrows in turn defeating Chelmsley Town, Sheldon Flights and Riley’s Mixed.

The Small Heath League played off the final of their Upside Down Cup between The Mitre and Wagon and Horses. It was an entertaining game, The Mitre stealing the early lead and going 3-0 up. The following two games went the way of Wagon and Horses and with the next two games shared The Mitre went into the doubles leading 4-3. The two doubles games both went in favour of The Mitre to give them a final winning margin of 6-3.

There was no change at the top of the Tamworth Sports Bar League this week as the top four teams all recorded wins. Leaders Three Horse Shoes beat St Johns Club 6-1 to put them on 116 points, Sports Bar 180 beat Riftswood 5-2, but remain 17 points adrift of the leaders. In the battle of the Globe’s, the third placed ‘B’ side beat their ‘A’ team 6-1 and fourth in the table Hustlers won 4-3 away to Wigginton.
In the players league Paul Whittaker has now opened up a six points lead over his nearest rival Mac Tarbuck. In the latest round of games Whittaker beat Lee Kirkham while Tarbuck went down against Terry Molineux.
