The league singles knockout was the order of the day for the Sheldon and District Winter League, The event was staged at two venues, Meadway Sports and Social and Olton RBL, playing down to the last sixteen players, eight from each venue.
Winning through to finals night were, C.Sammons (Stechford Social), D.Marshall, D.Kilbey (Iron Horse), P.Yardley (Ridgemere Social), N.Parsonage, J.Prince (Crown), J.Buckingham(Old Bill and Bull), D.Sutton (George V), A.Hutchings, J.Norris, P.Higgins (Olton RBL), J.Dunn (Bagot Arms), D.Whitehouse (Kingshurst Labour Club), S.Hazlett (Yardley Arms), P.Sinnett (Saltley Amateur Gardeners), M.Tollis (Pavilions).

Sutton Sports edged closer to winning the division one title in the Four Oaks and District League with a 5-4 win over Red Lion Flights, they now need just one more win from the final two fixtures to secure the title. The Fox beat bottom team Golden Hind 5-3 to leave them four points behind Sutton and now look odds on for the runners up spot.
Pint Pot Flights have won the division two title after beating White Lion Barrels 6-3. With only two points separating them second place will go to either Oscott Social Clarets or Anvil Nomads, the outcome could well be decided in the final game of the season when the two teams play each other on Anvil’s board.
In division three leaders The Red Arrows maintained their four points lead with a convincing 8-1 home win over Pint Pot Arrows.
M.Bishop (The Gate) recorded his second maximum in as many weeks and K.Shepherd (The Fox) notched his fifth of the season. Others finding the three treble twenties were E.Atkins (Old Oscott Arrows), B.Taylor (Royal Oak), M.Westmorland (Oscott Social Clarets and R.Markley (Sutton Town FC).

The Captains and Secretaries Competitions were on the agenda for the Camp Hill League. In the former the semi finals saw wins for Craig Jones (Lady Westminster) and John O’Connor (Roost) over respective opponents Arthur Forde (Devils) and John Hunt (Clements Arms). The winner was John O’Connor with Craig Jones runner up.
In the Secretaries competition Michael Looby (Devils) took the honours with a final success over Bob Glover (Lady Westminster).
Losing out in the final four were, Len Quinn (Roost) and Mark Standley (Clements Arms).

The Small Heath League saw a Custard House clash this week when Custard House took on their local rivals Custard House Flights. The result was a 7-2 win for the former to keep put them in pole position on 14 points from seven games. Emerald Club lost the number one spot after going down somewhat surprisingly at home to Wagon and Horses and although they also have 14 points they have played two games more than Custard House. In the other game played third placed Mitre had a comfortable 8-1 win over bottom team Hay Mills Social.

In the Tamworth Sports Bar League second placed Sports Bar 180 suffered their second defeat of the campaign plus a setback to any title aspirations they may have when they lost 4-3 at home to Wigginton, they are now 13 points adrift of leaders Three Horse Shoes.
In the players league Geggy Wright chalked up his first win of the ten game season so far with a win over Martin Young.
