In division one of the Four Oaks and District League leaders Sutton Sports had a comfortable 7-2 win over bottom of the table Golden Hind, L.Harris in superb form for Sutton recording seven and eight dart legs. Second placed The Fox had a 6-3 win against Boldmere Sports, but are two points behind Sutton and have played one game more. Fox and Dogs, who have moved up one place from next to bottom of the table were in tip top form this week beating fifth placed Sportsmans Rest 7-2.

Division two leaders Pint pot Flights lost their undefeated record when they went down 5-4 at home to third in the table Old Oscott Clarets, however, Pint Pot still have a six points advantage over both their victors and Anvil Nomads, who won 7-2 away to Drakes Drum.

Division three leaders The Red Arrows maintained their four points lead over Brookvale with a 6-3 home against Sutton Town FC, while Brookvale, who have a game in hand on Red Arrows beat Deer’s Leap Stags 8-1.

In the Forest of Arden Winter League Riley’s Red Arrows extended their unbeaten run to thirteen games in real style by handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their opponents, bottom of the table Old Bill and Bull Flights. Red Arrows now have a four points lead over their nearest rivals Old Bill and Bull who won 7-2 away to Riley’s Mixed.

Possibly the biggest shock of the week was the defeat of third placed Olton RBL, they went down 5-4 away to Harvester, who as a result have moved up one place in the league to sixth.

The doubles knockout was on the agenda for the Gulp League and taking the title were Emerald Club duo Raymond and Neil Parsonage. The winning pair fought off the challenge of Brendan Lysaght and Mark Kane (Mitre) in the final.

Losing semi finalists were Alan Wale and Paul Brown (Custard House) plus Ian McLean and Dave Brown also from the Custard House.

The final of the Brian Spencer Memorial Cup was on the fixture card for the Tamworth Sports Bar League and the result was an emphatic 7-0 victory for league leaders three Horse Shoe, with the Globe ‘A’ finishing as runners up.

Olton RBL may have had a close 5-4 win over Kingshurst and District Labour Club in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League, but it was enough to keep them top of the table and four points ahead of reigning champions Saltley Amateur Gardeners, who won 7-2 at Pavilions. Third in the table Old Bill and Bull also had a close 5-4 win in their home tie with Red Lion, but they have only played twelve fixtures and wins in their games in hand would put them within two points of Olton.

A couple of big wins in division one with Bagot Arms chalking up a 9-0 success at Meadway Sports and Social and Iron Horse winning their home game with Yardley Ex Flights 8-1.

In the second division Shard End Social won a vital home game against ThisisDarts by 6-3 to see them replace their opponents in second place.

The top two teams in the third division both won 6-3. Maggies, who are in pole position beat New Firs, while Ridgemere Social accounted for Shirley RBL Misfits. Maggies currently hold a two points lead on Ridgemere but have played two more fixtures than their rivals.

There were no fewer than four 160 breaks this week supplied by, N.Clarke (Saltley Amateur Gardeners), P.Curry (Sheldon Dukes), J.Boyle (Shirley RBL Misfits) and S.McBride (Farthings).
