Warwickshire County Darts Organisation played a home game against fellow strugglers Cornwall in the premier division, a vital game where both teams needed the points. Fortunately the 23-13 result went in favour of the hosts to lift them up the table to fourth from bottom on 96 points, 20 more than their opponents, who are next to bottom.

Both men’s teams won, the ‘A’ 7-5, with Steve Hine (31.07) their top man and the ‘B’ 10-2, David Sanders (30.46) taking their award. Both ladies teams finished all square at 3-3, the lady of the match for the ‘A’ being Trina Gulliver (22.10) and the ‘B’ Trish Roberts (16.70).

West Midlands travelled to take on Bedfordshire in division one and returned with a 21-15 win to lift them into third place in the table just six points adrift of second placed Hampshire. It was wins all round except for the ladies ‘B’ who went down 4-2, Diane Tolley (20.31) lady of the match. The ‘A’ side wonw-2, their first win of the campaign, Sarah Robbins (18.93) their top player. The men’s ‘A’ won 7-5, Dean Stewart following up his award winning average of 37.58 against County Durham with another superb 32.67. The ‘B’ team won 8-4, their fourth consecutive victory. Mark Lloyd (24.66) was the ‘B’ team’s top average man.

An 8-1 home win over Riley’s Mixed extended Riley’s Red Arrows winning sequence to twelve games in the Forest of Arden Winter League and gives them a clear four points lead over their nearest rivals Old Bill and Bull who also chalked up an 8-1 win at home to Sheldon Flights. Riley’s Flights lost ground in the title race going down 6-3 away to Highwood ‘A’.

The Pip Club League staged their divisional singles this week and taking the division one title with a final win over Mick Smith (Red Lion) was Belgrave Club’s representative Rob Markley.

The division two title went to Andy Docker (Queens Head), with Lee Griffiths (Bolehall Swifts) the runner up.

A 5-4 win at Fox and Dogs keeps Sutton Sports top of division one of the Four Oaks and District League. The Fox find themselves trailing the leaders by two points following their 5-4 reversal away to Sportsmans Rest. Sutton Sports also have a game in hand.

Pint Pot Flights have won all thirteen fixtures so far and have opened up a massive eight points lead in division two after beating their nearest rivals Anvil Nomads 5-4. A 6-3 home win over Aston Social has seen Oscott Social Clarets draw level on points with Anvil Nomads trailing on average only.

The Red Arrows held on to their four points lead in division three by beating Deer’s Leap Stags 6-3, but staying in tune with them is Brookvale who beat The Dragons 8-1 and despite being four points behind do have a game in hand.

In the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League, Saltley Amateur Gardeners suffered a set back to retaining their title when they lost 6-3 away to fifth in the table Red Lion. Leaders Olton RBL had a narrow 5-4 victory away to the Crown and have 20 points from 12 games, where Saltley have 16 from 13 and third placed Old Bill and Bull, who won 6-3 against Stechford Social have 16 points from just 11 games.

Forget-Me-Not lead division two on 20 points, but This is Darts, Shard End Social and New Firs Flights are also on 20 points and have all played one game fewer than the leaders.

Emerald Club have dropped to third place in the Small Heath League after losing 7-2 at home to The Mitre, who have replaced them in the runners up position.

There was a shock this week for the Three Horse Shoes, leaders of the Tamworth Sports Bar League when they lost 4-3 at Sports Bar 180, who are second in the table. However, the Shoes remain in pole position on 60 points, five more than Sports Bar 180. The was also somewhat of a shock at the other end of the table when bottom team Market vaults won 4-3 away to Globe ‘A’, this being market Vaults only win of the season so far in eight games, they do nevertheless remain rooted to the foot of the table on 22 points, two behind Mile Oak Rovers.
