West Midlands travelled to the south west to take on Somerset in their latest division one game and chalked up their first win since the opening day of the season when they beat Middlesex. The men’s ‘A’ won 7-5 with veteran player Ian Jones (28.10) man of the match, Chris Stanley (29.43) was the top man in the ‘B’ teams 9-3 win, their third in four outings.
Unfortunately the ladies ‘A’ suffered their fourth defeat and their third consecutive 6-0 whitewash. It was however, good news for the ‘B’ side as they registered their first win of the campaign, a 4-2 result with Jacqueline maiden (15.64) lady of the match. The overall result was 20-16 to the Midlanders.
