After a disastrous 28-8 defeat in their opening game away to Yorkshire in the premier division of the Riley’s Inter Counties Championships Warwickshire bounced back with a more respectable 18-18 home draw against Surrey. Bob Nixon (28.13) lead the way in the men’s ‘A’ side’s 7-5 win, while for the second successive game Jamie Atkins (27.46) took the ‘B’ teams award in their 6-6 draw.
The ladies ‘A’ once again lost 5-1, Trina Gulliver (24.64) yet again the sole winner. The ‘B’ side won 4-2 with Wendy Adams taking the match award with a 16.91 average.
