Custard House Flights have lost their second spot in group six of the Sheldon and District Summer League, dropping to fourth place after going down 5-3 at Shirley RBL Misfits. Misfits have replaced them in the number two position two points adrift of leaders Garretts Green Social who maintained their 100% start to the season with a convincing 7-1 away win against Redhill Tavern Flights.

In group two Sheldon Dukes had a 6-2 home win over Crown Vikings and no fewer than three of their players, P.Curry, L.Molyneux and A.Sheen hit a maximum. Highwood ‘A’ player P.Austin also notched a 180 in his side’s 6-2 win over Redhill Tavern.

Twenty six points and a game in hand is the lead Ian McFarlane has in the thisisdarts.co.uk Individual League. In the latest round of fixtures McFarlane recorded two straight 3-0 wins against Adam Thomas and Colin Mace, his nearest rival Robbie Earle also had a 3-0 win against Rick Barberan.

Highest checkout of the week went to Mark Elkin who had a 148 finish in his 2-1 win over Blane Homer.

The Small Heath League staged their Cricket Knockout Competition and the winners of the event were the Pirate Darts Team comprising of Brendan Lysaght, Clive Austin, John Franklin, Graham Blakeman and Liam Fox. Losing finalists were the Norfolk and Chance Team of Paul Brown, Ray Fisher, Peter Hopkins, Eddie Bullock and Mark Fisher.

Big news in the Carlsberg Olton Double Top League this week as leader Bob Nixon actually lost a leg, only the third one in the 60 he has played. Playing against Mark Wall Nixon recorded a 2-1 win, however he quickly returned to norm as he rattled off a 3-0 win against Dave Duncan including a maximum. Second in the table Andy Hutchings suffered a bit of a setback to his title aspirations going down 2-1 somewhat surprisingly to Paul Sunner, he now trails Nixon by two points but has played 21 games to Nixon’s 20. Third placed Tony Randell is a further two points behind but he also has a game in hand on Hutchings.

St Johns Club had a shock 4-3 home defeat handed to them this week in the Tamworth Sports Bar League by Pip Club, which now leaves them in second spot behind Three Horse Shoes, but by a massive 26 points difference. Horse Shoes won their away tie against bottom of the table Mile Oak Rover 6-1. In the battle of the Globe’s it was the ‘A’ side who got the better of the close 4-3 verdict over the ‘B’ team.

In the players league Richie baker gained a vital win over Mac Tarbuck to put him on level points with Clyde Hooper, who beat Wayne Deeley. Hooper and Baker are now two points to the good on third placed Tarbuck.

The Challenge Cup was on the fixture card for the Pip Club League and winning through round one were, Dolphin, Birchmoor WMC, Belgrave Club and J W Belgrave Club. In the last four play off Birchmoor Club accounted for Dolphin and in the all Belgrave affair it was J W Belgrave Club who took out Belgrave Club.

A 6-1 win away to the Who’s has seen Tigers stretch their unbeaten run to eight games in the Gulp League and they now have a six points lead over second placed Lions, who had a narrow 4-3 win away to the Tribe.

S Ollerenshaw (Beasts) hit a maximum despite his side losing their home tie against the Rebels 5-2.
