Bromford Bridge Members Club Exiles, leaders of group one of the Sheldon and District Summer League were surprisingly held to a 4-4 at home to middle of the table Iron Horse in the latest round of fixtures. Nevertheless Bromford remain in pole position on six points, one more than Riley’s Arrows and Olton RBL.
In group four Yardley and District Darts Team remain the only team in the whole league able to boast a 100% win record in the opening four games, their latest conquest being a 5-3 win away to Highwood ‘B’.

Bob Nixon continued his fine run in the Carlsberg Olton Double Top League when he added a further two 3-0 wins to his tally when he accounted for Paul Nunn and Jim Norris. Nixon is now on 49 points from 17 games and only dropped two legs in those games. Andy Hutchings is second on 43 points with a game in hand and Tony Randell, who lost a little ground this week when he only won 2-1 against Chris John, is third with 40 points and has two games in hand.

A 9-7 win over J W Belgrave Club has seen Red Lion move into third place in division one of the Pip Club League, while J W Belgrave have slipped from second to fourth. Sports Bar’s P.Corfield recorded a maximum and A.Carter chalked up games in 14 and 15 darts.
In the second division Sports Bar 180 suffered their first defeat in six games but retain the number one spot, now level on points with the Bull (Polesworth), who had a 10-6 home win over Two Gates Club.

The Tamworth Sports Bar League played off the final of their League Cup which saw league leaders Three Horse Shoes beat second in the table St Johns Club 4-3. In a re-arranged fixture Sports Bar 180 had a 4-3 win away to Globe ‘B’.

Ian McFarlane currently has a lead of eleven points at the top of the thisisdarts.com Individual League. In this weeks games he beat Lee Beech 3-0 and Tom Fitzpatrick 2-1. Two 3-0 wins against Tom Fitzpatrick and Jason Evans sees Adam Gallett in second place with a narrow one point lead over his nearest rival Robbie Earle, then comes a huge 18 points gap to fourth placed Jason Evans.

This coming Saturday an expected £400 prize pot is on offer in the 2010 Glebe Farm Open, to be staged at the club in Glebe Farm Road, Stechford, Birmingham. For an entry fee of £7 all monies in will be paid out in prize money.

The Small Heath League have played off their Charity Knockout Competition and taking the honours was Devils representative John McCaffrey. McCaffrey beat Emerald Club player Joe Fox in the final. Losing semi finalists were Custard House duo Dave Brown and Paul Brown.
