After completing three weeks of fixtures in the Carlsberg Olton Double Top League no fewer than three players share the number one spot, level on 17 points and each of them has only dropped one leg in the so far. The three players are Andy Hutchings, Bob Nixon and Tony Randell, Nixon and Randell are the current joint reigning champions.

Tony Randell was in top form in his 3-0 win over Tim Lowe as he hit a maximum, checked out on 138 and also recorded a twelve darts game. Other players to find the three treble twenties this week were John Sidwell (2), Mark Wall, Steve Harding, Mark Gwalchmai and Paul Nunn.

Three players registered their first wins of the campaign this week, Paul Cornes beat Luke Coles 3-0, Tony Steele won 2-1 against Jim Norris and Luke Coles had a 2-1 success against Ralph Nunn.

The thisisdarts Individual League have been engaged in their doubles knockout. Taking the title with a final win over Blane Homer and Ian McFarlane were Adam Thomas and Matt Gallett. After beating Mark Elkin and Jake Smith in the quarter finals Thomas and Gallett took out George and Kristian Green in the semi’s to book their final spot.

From the other side of the draw Homer and McFarlane had to first play against Steve Cousins and Mark O’Donnell in a preliminary round game, they then went on to defeat Sean O’Donnell and Darren Whitehouse, before a last four success over Stuart Bliss and Adam Gallett.

Birchmoor Club made it four wins in as many games in division one of the Pip Club League when they won 11-5 away to Three Horse Shoes. Birchmoor are now four points clear of Sports Bar, J W Belgrave Club, Belgrave Club and Dolphin.

In the second division Sports Bar 180 chalked up a massive 14-2 home win over newcomers Bolehall Swifts to consolidate their pole position. Although top of the table Sports Bar 180 have only a slender one point lead over Bull, Polesworth, who also had an emphatic 12-4 away win against Pip Club.

Three players hit a maximum this week, Spencer Hawkesworth (Pip Club), Garry Day (Queens Head) and Steve Liddell (Bull, Polesworth).

The Gulp League had the first round of their League Cup on the agenda, which produced wins for Tribe and Tigers against respective opponents Who’s and Beasts.

Highest break of the night went to Tribe’s R.McConnell who registered a 146 break, while Tigers man Colin Wyatt was in fine form as he hit 140 and 100, broke with 130 had a 109 finish and recorded a 15 darts leg.

The Forest of Arden Summer League have got their new season underway and in division one the early pacesetters are Riley’s Flights who beat their local rivals Riley’s Red Arrows 7-2. Old Bill and Bull and Sheldon Flights both had 5-4 wins in turn against Harvester and Greville.

The biggest win in division two was also 7-2 and was provided by Sheldon Arrows at the expense of Hobs Meadow. Highwood and Riley’s Mixed both finished on the right side of a 5-4 win against their respective opponents Kenny’s Boys and Old Bill and Bull Flights.
