In division two of the Inter Counties Championships West Midlands were away to Norfolk and they too required points to move them up the table to establish them as promotion candidates.
In Saturday’s games the men’s ’B’ had a 7-5 win with Richard Foster in top form to take the man of the match award with a 27.65 average. Lisa Astbury (16.63) was the ladies sole winner. Sunday saw the ladies once again lose 5-1, on this occasion Sarah Robbins (19.08) was the only winner. Steve Farmer was in tremendous form for the ‘A’ side as he recorded a superb 32.67 average, but sadly it was not enough as the game finished all square at 6-6 and the overall result a 21-15 win for Norfolk.
