Crown ‘A’ lost ground in the premier division title race in the Sheldon and District Winter League this week when they lost 5-4 at Olton RBL. As a result Crown ‘A’ have dropped from second place to fifth, with Olton climbing from fourth to second. Leaders Saltley Amateur Gardeners are the only 100% winning team in the premier their latest success being a massive 8-1 win at bottom of the table Scanlons to give them a clear two point’s lead over Olton and Red Lion, who won 7-2 at Stechford Social.
At the other end of the table Iron Horse and Crown ’B’ recorded their first wins of the campaign, the former beating Pavilions 5-4 to move off the foot of the table and the latter having a 6-3 home win against Sheldon Dukes.
In the first division Highwood made it five consecutive wins when they won their home tie with Willclare Sports and Social 6-3. It was not such good news for second placed Yardley Ex Flights, who suffered an 8-1 defeat at Kingshurst Labour Club and drop to fourth place. Kingshurst move up one place to third with Old Bill and Bull, who won 7-2 at Yardley Ex Colts, second.
It’s as you were in the second division with Custard House stretching their unbeaten run to five games with a 6-3 win against Yardley and District Darts Team.Two points behind Custard House are Forget-Me-Not who won 7-2 at Golden Acres.

On the fixture card for the Four Oaks and District League was the preliminary round of their Brian Goodman Cup. Finishing doubles eluded Deer’s Leap Stags and the 9-0 result against them somewhat flattered their victors Anvil Nomads. Old Oscott Arrows, Oscott Social, Sutton Sports, Fox and Dogs and Boldmere Sports all had comfortable 8-1 wins in turn over Bromford Social, Reddicap Tavern, White Lion, Sutton Town F.C. and White Lion Barrels.
Other teams winning through to the next round were, Aston Social, Red Lion Flights, Drakes Drum, Sportsmans Rest, Pint Pot Flights, Cross Keys PPA and Yew Tree Old Boys.
There were two maximums in the round and were recorded by M.Wilde (Red Lion Flights) and D.Fletcher (Old Oscott WMC).

A 7-2 win at Redhill Tavern as seen Beaufort Social Club draw level on points with Mitre at the top of the Small Heath League, Mitre had a bye this week but nevertheless remain in pole position with a superior average on Beaufort and now also have a game in hand.
After a 7-2 win at the Emerald Club Potcheen Still are level on the same six points as Mitre and Beaufort and again have a game in hand on Beaufort which could see them replace them in second place.

Red Lion ’A’ consolidated their number one position in division one of the Pip Club League with a 10-6 win at Belgrave Club. However, Glascote Club and Sports Bar kept up the pressure on the leaders, Glascote winning their home game with Dolphin 9-7 and Sports Bar chalking up a fine 12-4 win at Winning Post, both teams are just one point off the leaders, with Glascote having played one more fixture than their rivals.
Just avergae separates the top two division two teams, Kettlebrook Club and North Warwick Cricket Club. Both teams have ten points from six games, Kettlebrook winning their latest on at Polesworth Darts Club 10-6, while North Warwick had a bye.
