After most teams have completed six fixtures in the Sheldon and District Summer League only two teams are able to boast a 100% record and they are Highwood ‘B’ from group five and in group six Yardley Arms. In their most recent games Highwood ‘B’ had a 6-2 home win over Willclare Sports and Social while Yardley Arms returned from Golden Acres with a 5-3 result.

In group one Bromford Bridge Members Club Exiles continue to lead the field after a 5-3 win at Olton RBL which has seen the losers take over the bottom place in the division, Sheldon Dukes moving off the foot of the table despite having a bye as they have a better average than Olton.

There was bottom of the table clash in group six with bottom team Barley Mow playing hosts to Small Heath Amateur Gardeners, the latter winning 6-2 and moving two places up the table to third.

With a 2-1 win over Jake Smith followed by a straight 3-0 success against Steve Williams Carl Winters holds on to pole position in the Brook Meadow 301 Individual League with 149 points. Second placed Ian McFarlane played just one fixture and recorded a 3-0 win over Brendan Lysaght to remain three points behind Winters. Lysaght had previously played Wayne Legg and in his 3-0 win recorded a 160 break he then repeated the feat in his 2-1 victory over Jay Murray.

Leaders of the Gulp League, the Tribe suffered their second defeat in nine games this week when they surprisingly went down 5-2 at home to middle of the table St Andrews. Nevertheless Tribe hang on to the number one spot with their far superior average over both Rebels and Trotters, who in turn had 5-2 and 6-1 wins over Clements and Roost.

The Small Heath League have been engaged with the semi finals of their Upside Down Cup. Both games finished with very close 5-4 verdicts, Emerald Club beating Stechford Social Club and Red Hill Tavern accounting for Wagon and Horses. Paul Wilding chalked up a maximum for Red Hill Tavern.

Queens Head have been knocked off the top spot in division one of the Pip Club League following their 10-6 home defeat at the hands of the Three Horse Shoes outfit, this was Queens Head’s first loss in the current campaign and have dropped to third in the table two points behind new leaders Glascote Club, who won 12-4 at Sports Bar 180 and have six points. Three Horse Shoes have moved up to second place with five points.

Kettlebrook Club march on in division two, a 12-4 home success over bottom of the table Cuckoo’s Rest making it three wins out of three to give them a two points cushion over second placed North Warwick Cricket Club who had an 11-5 win at Old Liberal Club. Gate Inn, after a 10-6 win at Birch Coppice Club are third on four points but have already had their bye and when the two teams above them have theirs they could move up into the number one position.
