Played eight won eight and only one fixture remaining, that’s Warwickshire’s record in division one of the BDO Inter Counties Championships this season. With a 30 points lead on second placed Gwent and a massive 36 points advantage over third in the table Dorset, only a complete disaster can stop their promotion back to the premier division.
The latest fixture was a local derby against West Midlands and Warwickshire returned with their biggest away win of the campaign, a very convincing 27-9 result. Both men’s teams won 8-4, while the ladies ’A’ won 5-1 and the ’B’ handed out a 6-0 whitewash.
