Two players, Adam Gallett and Keith Kelly have opened up a slender one point lead at the top of the Brook Meadow Individual 301 League. Gallett had 2-1 wins over Tony Comerford and Carl Winters While Kelly beat Jason Farthers 3-0 and Jay Murray 2-1.

Highest break of the week went to Adam Thomas who recorded a 152 break and the highest finish of 107 went to Adam Gallett. Carl Winters chalked up the fastest leg, an eight darts leg in his game against Adam Gallett which he lost 2-1.

The Four Oaks and District League were engaged in their Coronation Shield Doubles and Norman Day Doubles Cup. In the semi finals of the Coronation Shield, the top two teams in division one Sutton Sports and Sportsmans Rest had convincing wins, Sutton beating Oscott Social 13-2 and Sportsmans won 12-3 against Hill Social. The two winning teams will now meet each other in the final.

It was the first round of the Norman Day Cup and three of the four games finished with 12-3 results. There were wins for Red Lion Flights, Anvil Nomads and the Fox, who in turn defeated Pint Pot Flights, Pint Pot and Royal Oak Ruffians. The closest game saw a 9-6 win for Bromford Lions at the expanse of Cross Keys PPA.

Saltley Amateur Gardeners extended their advantage at the top of the premier division in the Sheldon and District Winter League with an 8-1 home success over Pavilions. Second in the table Mackadown Social remain two points behind Saltley after their 6-3 win against Sheldon Dukes. Shard End RBL won 6-3 at Olton RBL and hang on to third place with game in hand on the leading duo and only two points behind them.

It’s really tight at the top of the first division with no fewer than four teams locked together on 24 points with just average separating them. Scanlons lead the field closely followed by Iron Horse, Stechford Social and Vaughans.

Second division leaders Old Bill and Bull stretched their unbeaten run to sixteen games when they beat Glebe Community Association 7-2. Willclare Sports and Social won 6-3 at home against Yardley and District Darts Team and remain second level on points with the leaders but they have played one game more.

Glascote Club suffered their first defeat of the campaign in the Pip Club League when in their latest division one game they lost 5-3 at home to Wiggy 180. However, they hold on to pole position because their nearest rivals Sports Bar Club also lost, again they played at home and the margin once more was 5-3, their opponents Dolphin.

In the second division leaders Queens Head had a bye and second placed Bull took full advantage, closing the gap to three points with an emphatic 7-1 win at North Warwick Cricket Club.

The league has also been involved with their 180 Cup Competition. In division one Sports Bar Club and Three Horse Shoes won through to the final, while Kettlebrook Club and the Bull won the semi’s in the second division.

Both finals will be played on the 21st May at the Pip Club
