A 5-4 win at Sheldon Dukes has seen Saltley Amateur Gardeners open a two point’s gap over Mackadown Social and Shard End RBL at the top of the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League. Mackadown lost ground as a result of their 5-4 defeat at Shard End RBL. Shard End who have a game in hand on Saltley would leapfrog Mackadown and move into second place behind Saltley due to their inferior average.
Just seven legs of average separate the top four teams in division one, all of them having 22 points. Former leaders Vaughans have dropped to fourth place after going down 7-2 at home to Iron Horse. As a result Iron Horse have moved up into second spot just behind new leaders Scanlons who beat Kingshurst Labour Club 6-3. Stechford Social, who had a 7-2 home win over Small Heath Gardeners Flights 7-2 are third.
Old Bill and Bull have stretched their unbeaten run to 15 games after handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their hosts Bordesley Labour Club. Willclare Sports and Social are second with the same 30 points as Old Bill and Bull, but they have played one game more.

Match 14 in division one of the Four Oaks and District League produced a top of the table clash when leaders Sutton Sports travelled to take on their nearest rivals Sportsmans Rest. The outcome was a 6-3 win for Sutton Sports to stretch their unbeaten run to 13 games and extend their lead to six points, requiring now just one more win to secure the title. Red Lion Flights, with the score at 4-4 against Anvil Nomads recorded a narrow victory when M.Gair checked out on 152 in the last game to clinch the points. It was also a last gasp win for Boldmere Sports as they beat Deer’s Leap 5-4 in the final game.
In the second division it’s as you were as the top three teams, Oscott Social, Old Oscott Arrows and Bromford Lions chalked up respective wins over the Fox, Aston Social and Plough and Harrow Arrows.
Finding the three treble twenties this week were, J.Collins (Sportsmans Rest) and P.Allen (Anvil Nomads).

Fourteen points is the lead Trevor Frost has at the top of the Coffin Club Knockout League. In the latest round of knockouts Frost, with a 3-1 scoreline and scores of 4×100, 3×140 and a 180 won the ‘A’ knockout, beating Robbie Earl in the final, Earl hitting 9×100 plus 140.
Paul Larden was the ’B’ knockout winner, with Jimmy Green the runner up.

Emerald stay top of the Small Heath League following their 6-3 away win against Small Heath Amateur Gardeners. Potcheen Still and Wagon and Horses are joint second, two points behind the leaders. Potcheen beat Custard House 6-3, while Wagon and Horses registered an emphatic 8-1 home success over Victoria Flights.
