Ian McFarlane has chalked up two impressive wins in the last two games of the Brook Meadow Double Top League. In week three he beat current leader Trevor Frost 3-1 in the ‘A’ knockout final despite Frost hitting two maximums. McFarlane then went on to beat Adam Gallett 3-0 in the final of week four to give him a total of 28 points and put him within four points of leader Trevor Frost.
Winner of the last two ‘B’ knockouts was Rob Wilson who defeated Keith Kelly and Jason Evans, both by 2-0.

Frost is also leading the way in the new Coffin Club Knockout League his latest victory in the ’A’ knockout was a close 3-2 victory over Jason Evans to give him 58 points and a massive lead of 18 points over second placed Neil Parsonage, who this week had a 2-1 success against Chris Davis in the final of the ’B’ knockout.

A 7-2 home win over Deer’s Leap has seen Sportsmans Rest leapfrog Sutton Sports and go top of the Four Oaks and District League, but only on average and probably only for a short time as Sutton Sports, who did not play this week have a game in hand and are level on points with Sportsmans.
Boldmere Sports chalked up their first win in six, a convincing 8-1 home success over Red Lion Flights.
In division two leaders Oscott Social just scraped home, winning the final game to clinch a 5-4 win over Pint Pot. Bromford Lions lost their second place after losing 7-2 away to their nearest rivals Old Oscott Arrows, who have taken over the number two spot, both teams are now two points adrift of the leaders. Royal Oak Ruffinas continued their revival with a 6-3 win at Plough and Harrow Arrows. On top form for the Ruffians was M.Kenny who had top shots of 100,125,121,2×140 and a 180. Also hitting a maximum were A.Stainfield (Sportsmans Rest) and L.Jones (Old Oscott Arrows).

Division two of the Pip Club League saw Red Lion (Willencote) record their first win of the campaign, a 5-3 home win over Kettlebrook Club to move off the bottom of the table and be replaced by Kettlebrook. In the same division Two Gates Club lost their 100% win record when the best they could manage in their home fixture against the Gate Inn (Amington) was a 4-4 draw.
Glascote continue to lead the field in division one after a fine 6-2 away win against Wiggy 180. They are now two points clear of both Sports Bar Club and Globe Inn, who both finished all square in their respective games away to Dolphin and Winning Post.

In their latest division one fixture in the BDO Inter Counties Championships, West Midlands played away to local rivals Staffordshire, the result an 18-19 draw. Staffordshire took the early lead in Saturday’s game when the ladies ended level at 3-3 and the men won 8-4, match awards going to Natalie Harrison (16.13) and Mark Lloyd (30.06).
Sunday’s game were a complete turn around for the men as West Midlands won 8-4, Steve Farmer (32.34) the man of the match, the ladies once again shared the spoils with Lisa Astbury (19.52) taking the match award for the second consecutive game.
