1. Hawkley was in superb form for Old Oscott WMC in division one of the Four Oaks and District League, hitting 125,3×100,140,134 and also recording a 112 break, but unfortunately it was not enough for his side to avoid a 6-3 home defeat at the hands of the Sutton Sports team who in week two have now moved up into second place behind Sportsmans Rest just one leg of average adrift of the leaders. Sportsmans Rest won their home tie against Boldmere Sports by a convincing 7-2 margin. Also level with the leading pair on four points is newly promoted Cross Keys PPA. Cross Keys played away to Deer’s Leap and returned with a close 5-4 verdict.

In division two Old Oscott Arrows lead the way after winning their home game with Plough and Harrow Arrows 6-3. Aston Social and the Fox are also able to boast a 100% record, the former recording a resounding 8-1 home win over Deer’s Leap Flights and Fox beating Bromford Lion 6-3 at home. Pint Pot Flights have moved off the bottom of the table following their 7-2 away win over Royal Oak Ruffians, replacing them at the foot of the table are their local rivals Pint Pot.

Just one maximum was scored this week and that was provided by K.Tooze from the Pint Pot.

Emerald Club have opened up a two points lead at the top of the Small Heath League after winning their home tie with Victoria 301 Club 5-4. Joining Victoria 301 Club on 10 points is Custard House, who also recorded a close 5-4 verdict in the home game with Potcheen Still.

In the other games played Wagon and Horse lost 6-3 as they hosted Victoria Flights and as a result have now taken over the unenviable position of bottom of the table. Small Heath Amateur Gardeners moved over Wagon and Horses after chalking up their first win of the campaign, a 5-4 success at Beau Brummie.

A 6-3 home defeat by RAFA has seen Shirley RBL lose their unbeaten record and get knocked off pole position in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League. Replacing Shirley in the number one spot is Brook Meadow who had a 7-2 home win over Pavilions, they are now the only undefeated team in the premier. T.Randell helped Saltley Amateur Gardeners to an 8-1 win against Saxon when he chalked up a seven darts leg. Mackadown have moved up to third in the table with a 7-2 win against Olton RBL, Shirley RBL are third.

In division one both of the top two teams lost, leaders Sheldon Social suffered their first defeat in four going down 5-4 to Vaughans and Scanlons, who also had won their previous three games were beaten 6-3 by Iron Horse. Both teams are now locked together on the same points and average. Stechford Social beat Shard End RBL Vikings 7-2 and Shard End Social had a 6-3 win at Kingshurst Labour Club they are now on the same six points as the leading duo with an inferior average.

Willclare Sports and Social lead the way in division two after handing out a 9-0 whitewash to Bordesley Labour Club. Custard House drop to second place, behind on average following their 5-4 win against Millhouse.

Hot shots this week came from, T.White (Saltley Amateur Gardeners), and R.Parry (Iron Horse) who both hit a 180, while K.Sheppard (RAFA) and M.Topliss (Shard End RBL Vikings) each broke with 160.
