Just when they needed the points most Warwickshire pulled out all the stops and came up with a tremendous 22-14 victory over Buckinghamshire, which almost certainly guarantee’s their survival in division one.
Ladies ’B’ got the weekend off to a fine start when they beat their counterparts 4-2, Linda Farrell (21.47) their top player. The men’s ’B’ continued the sequence with a 7-5 success, their highest average supplied by Kevin Taylor (24.60).
Sunday did not begin so well as the ladies lost 4-2, once again Trina Gulliver taking the match award with a fabulous 30.06 average. The men’s ’A’ rounded off the fixture with a vital 9-3 success to earn the much needed win. Nigel Heydon’s 28.90 average took the men’s award.
