This coming weekend Warwickshire’s will play their penultimate fixture of the season in division one of the Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championships a home tie at Canley Sports and Social Club, Coventry against bottom of the division Buckinghamshire. A resounding 8-1 away win over Old Oscott Arrows has confirmed Midland Red as division one champions in the Four Oaks and District League, a similar occurrence in the second division where Anvil Nomads won 8-1 at Red Lion Arrows to clinch the title. In the local derby between Cross Keys PPA and Cross Keys the former got the close 5-4 verdict to claim the runners up spot.
In division one the Deer’s Leap versus Hill Social clash produced an impressive 31 scores of a ton or more including three maximums from A.Kimberley (Deer’s Leap), G.Redfern and D.Vickers from Hill Social.

Three 3-0 wins against Mark Elkin, Jake Smith and Keith Kelly has seen Mark Birch take over pole position in the Brook Meadow Individual Double Top League. Mark has a total of 88 points from 23 games and is closely followed by reigning champion Trevor Frost who is just one point behind with a game in hand. Ross Macken’s title hopes received a setback as he went down 2-1 to Jason Evans and has slipped to fifth in the table with 75 points, however he does have games in hand on all four players above him. There was a rare win for John Masefield this week as he won his tie with Terry Blakemore 2-1.

After completing three fixtures in the GULP League Tribe lead the field with an undefeated six points. By one leg of average less than the Tribe the Who’s are second in the table and are the only other team able to boast a 100% win record.
