In division two West Midlands also had a home game taking on lowly Merseyside with an opportunity to open up a lead on the chasing pair Derbyshire and Norfolk. Unfortunately the best they could achieve was an 18-18 draw. Both ladies teams finished all square at 3-3 with Kath Jenkins (20.37) and Claire Ford (15.99) taking the ’A’ and ’B’ awards. The men’s ’B’ lost 8-4, their first defeat of the campaign with their top man Chris Plumpton averaging 24.92. The ’A’ side maintained the unbeaten seven match run winning 8-4 and taking the man of the match trophy for them was Jamie Hughes (28.36).
