At the end of July the Warwickshire youth squad took part, together with thirty other teams in the BDO Youth Knockout Cup at Kettering, Northamptonshire. Not only did they participate, but actually won the competition.
In the first round Warwickshire defeated Essex by a massive 6-1 scoreline, they then went on to beat Cambridgeshire 4-3. In round three it was Glamorgan who were on the receiving end as Warwickshire booked their passage to the semi finals with a 5-2 success.
Sussex provided the opposition in the last four and again the result was 5-2 in favour of Warwickshire to set up a final show down against Lincolnshire. For the third consecutive round the margin of victory was 5-2, and for the third time it was Warwickshire who had the upper hand and walked away with the title.
Three Warwickshire players had 100% records winning all five of their games and they were Ross Macken, Matt Gallett and Tom Martin.

Macken opened up with a 4-0 win over Dave Elliott, but was then held to a 2-2 draw by third in the table Matthew Gallett. However, with 46 points Macken took over pole position with a three points lead from Trevor Frost who now has two matches in hand on Macken.
In addition to his draw with Macken Matthew Gallett also recorded a 3-1 win against Keith Kelly, giving him 40 points and only six off the leader.
Only three maximums were registered this week, two of which were hit by Ross Macken in his win over Dave Elliott, the other came from Jason Evans in a 2-2 draw with Adam Gallett.
