Warwickshire rounded off their 2005 / 2006 season in the premier division of the Kaliber BDO Inter counties championships with a tremendous 27-9 home victory over Cheshire. They have begun the new campaign with exactly the same scoreline, unfortunately it was in favour of their visitors Kent.
Both men’s teams finished on the wrong side of 10-2 verdicts with Dave Harris jnr (27.33) and Trevor Frost (24.62) taking the respective ‘A’ and ‘B’ match awards. Best average of the weekend went to the ladies ‘A’ lady of the match Trina Gulliver, who recorded a cracking 28.83 in her 3-1 win against Tricia Wright, the team ending all square at 3-3. The ladies ‘B’ went down 4-2 with Helen Rigg (15.33) their top player.
