In the midway fixture of the season in the premier division of the Kaliber BDO Inter Counties Championships, Warwickshire failed to add to their one and only win of the campaign, which was a 21-15 success at home to Essex in November.
The men’s teams are really struggling to find their true form as the ’A’ side lost 10-2 to their Yorkshire counterparts to make it four defeats and one draw so far. The ’B’ team began the season with two losses but then picked up to earn a 6-6 draw with Essex and win 8-4 against Hampshire. However, they too ended up on the losing side of a 7-5 result. Tom Ryan (26.60) and Rob Hawker (29.47) took the respective ’A’ and ’B’ match awards.
The ladies ’A’ recorded a 5-1 win, once again Trina Gulliver (28.36) was their top player and the ’B’ finished all square at three each with Caroline Pike (19.73) collecting the match award.
