West Midlands lost their opening game of the season in division three of the BDO Inter Counties Championships, but kick started their season when in their home tie with Devon chalked up a 20-16 win. Both the ‘B’ teams recorded victories, the women won 4-2 (Leanne Jennings 16.70, lady of the match) and the men 9-3, with Viv Gould (24.93) taking the match award. The ’A’ teams did not do so well as the ladies lost 5-1 and the men finished all square at 6-6. Ian Jones (29.22) and Sara Jukes (15.41) the award winners.
