In their first home game and second fixture of the season in the premier division of the BDO Inter Counties Championships Warwickshire suffered their second consecutive defeat. Playing against Lincolnshire at Canley Sports and Social Club, Saturdays games saw the men and women lose 9-3 and 4-2 respectively with Steve Dwyer (28.75) and Vicki Byrne (16.93) taking the match awards.
On Sunday the ladies ’A’ gave the men’s team an outside chance of overall victory when they beat their counterparts 5-1, Viki Franklin their top player with a 21.78 average per dart. However, it was not enough to save the weekend’s result as the men went down 9-3 to give Lincolnshire a 23-13 win. Dave Honey (30.67) took the ’A’ side’s award.
