It was not exactly a good weekend for Warwickshire in the premier division as they travelled south to the capital to take on London. In Saturday’s games they found themselves trailing 12-6 after the ladies ’B’ side lost 5-1, with Denise Burke (15.11) their sole winner, and the men losing 7-5. Peter Brotherton took the match award with a 25.05 average.
Sunday’s matches were the complete opposite. The women, thanks to a lady of the match performance from Trina Gulliver (30.67) chalked up a 4-2 win and the men an 8-4 success to earn an 18-18 draw. David Wykes (32.13) won the ’A’ side award.
