In division three the West Midlands did not fair much better as they could only manage a draw away to Bedfordshire, a result that could well cost them a promotion place. The men’s ’A’ lost for the first time since the seasons curtain raiser against County Durham, going down 7-5. The ’B’ team however, maintained their unbeaten run with an 8-4 scoreline. In the ladies games the ’A’ finished all square at 3-3 and the ’B’ lost 4-2, which in the promotion table leaves them third, seven points adrift of second placed Cornwall.
