West Midlands, third in division three, played a vital game at home against second placed Cornwall. Both men’s teams won 7-5, with Mick James (33.40) and Gary Taylor (28.17) taking the respective ’A’ and ’B’ awards. The ladies ’A’ had a creditable 4-2 win, but like Warwickshire the ’B’ team ended up on the wrong side of a 6-0 whitewash. Angie Perrry (20.21) took the ’A’ team award as the final scoreline saw the honours shared at 18-18.
West Midlands remain four points adrift of Cornwall and fifteen behind leaders County Durham, who suffered a shock 19-17 defeat against Nottinghamshire
