In their latest BDO Inter Counties Championship premier division game Warwickshire extended their unbeaten run to four games. Playing a tough home game against Yorkshire the hosts fought back from 11-7 down on Saturday to finish the weekend all square at 18-18.
Julie Dwyer (14.43) was the sole winner for the ladies ’B’, while the men’s ’B’, with Pat Koyce (27.83) their man of the match had a 6-6 draw. On Sunday the ladies extended their winning run to five games with a 4-2 victory. Clare Bywaters, with a super 27.83 average took the match award. The men’s ’A’ came up trumps with a 7-5 win, their top player being Kevin Dowling, who had a tremendous 31.68 average.
In division three West Midlands travelled to Wales to face a tough Clwyd outfit. With both teams chasing promotion defeat could prove to be very costly. Saturday’s games put the Midlands side well on their way to an overall win as the ladies won 4-2 and the men 8-4, leaving them requiring just seven winners the following day.
The ladies ’A’ went down 4-2, but a 7-5 success by the men gave them a superb 21.15 victory. Award winners were, Sara Jukes (18.33 ‘B’), Clare Downing (17.01 ‘A’), Adrian Arnold (25.47 ‘B’) and Richard Foster (29.96 ‘A’).

In division one of the Harborne and District Winter league the match between W.C.WMC and the George was a high scoring affair with T.Heath hitting the highest possible score of 180 for W.C. However, the all important 5-2 result went in favour of the George. Midland Red were division’s biggest winners as they accounted for Hobsons Choice with a comprehensive 6-1 scoreline. Raven and Quinborne Flights recorded 4-3 wins against respective opponents Hillyfields and Woodcock.
Harboren Stores and the Cock Inn were on thee ball in the second division. In turn they handed out 6-1 defeats to Highlander Flights and the Old Mill. Not far behind were the Coopers Arms team, who with a 5-2 verdict accounted for the Pheasant.

Highwood suffered a vital 5-4 defeat at the hands of the Fordbridge Social side in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter league. As a result Highwood have dropped to third in the table and Fordbridge moved up to second. Both teams recorded a maximum, for Fordbridge A. Mayell and Highwood S. Kennedy.
Glebe Community Centre have moved into pole position in division one following their 6-3 win at Pavilions and former leader’s Lea Hall Sports and Social defeat at home to Hen and Chickens (formerly Solihull Borough FC).
Top individual performances came from A Jones (Malt Shovel) 9 darts game, R.Evans (Pavilions) and M.Topliss (Shard End RBL Flights) 160 break.

The division one cup was on the fixture card for the Longwood Winter league. Progressing to round two were the Dolphin, Winning Post, Red Lion ’B’ and the Globe. Two games were played in round two, which saw Dolphin beat the Winning Post 5-4 and by the same margin the Globe defeated Red Lion ’B’.

The Small Heath Winter league staged their Knockout Cup and in the two matches played Victoria 301 Club thrashed the Gunmakers Arms by 8-1 and league leaders Heartlands Club took out the Custard House with a 6-3 scoreline.
