West Midlands travelled to take on Nottinghamshire and returned with a close 19-17 defeat. Teresa Johnson (19.03) was the ’B’ side’s top lady for the third time in as many games and Angie Perry (16.58) took the ’A’ teams award, but unfortunately both of them saw their teams go down 4-2.
There was a 7-5 win for the men’s ’B’, making it two in a row, while in Sunday’s game, after trailing 6-4, the ’A’ team forced a draw thanks to closing wins from Chris Hickman and Richard Foster. Hickman took the match award with a 27.94 average, Mervyn Field (28.43) took the honours for the ’B’.
