A 7-2 win over the Raven extended Midland Red’s winning run in division one of the Harborne and District Summer League to five games and as Raven are currently second behind the Red’s it was an even more rewarding victory. M.Willis (Highlander) hit a maximum but it was not enough for his team to avoid a 6-3 defeat at the hands of the Ladywood Social side.

There was a similar story in division two where top side Smethwick Labour Club made it five wins in as many games when they beat second in the table Avenue Social 6-3. Both teams are now on 10 points with the Labour Club having the better average, plus a game in hand.

Other players to find the three treble twenties were J.Gaskin (Pheasant), D.Uhbi (Punchbowl) and G.Butler (Coopers Arms).
