John Green, with 97 points, has taken over as outright leader of the Belgrave Social Individual League. In second place is Mick Smith on 93 points with a game in hand and then a further two points adrift comes Robert Mills, who also has played one game fewer than Green. Mills gained an important 2-1 win over Mark Hollyoake. Hollyoake, despite lying in seventh place on 83 points has a massive five games in hand of Green and wins in all five would see him race into pole position.
There were 180’s this week for Robert Mills, Mick Smith, Gordon Clinton, Steve Hawkes and Andy Hanslow.

There were 8-1 wins for KCA and Heartlands, the top two teams in the Aston League. KCA hold the number one spot with 24 points, two more than Heartlands, but then come’s a four points gap and three teams, Kings Ex Service, Old Oscott WMC and Mitre all on 18 points.
KCA beat Highcroft Social, while Heartlands accounted for Aston Social. R.Clarke (Yew Tree) recorded a 160 break despite his team losing 5-4 to Brookvale Sinners.
On Friday 28th March the Aston league’s HOPE charity squad will take on the GULP charity team at the Heartlands Club in a Bullseye event followed by a disco and karaoke. Proceedings will get underway at 7.00pm.

Heartlands continue to lead the way in the Small Heath league. A 7-2 home win against the Brewer and Baker not only maintains their four points advantage over second in the table Custard House, but also extends their unbeaten run to ten games. Custard House beat bottom of the table Gables Tavern 8-1.

Tipton’s men had a bye in the latest round of fixtures in the West Midlands Super League. Nevertheless, they hold on to the top spot with 58 points from nine games. Wednesfield, as a result of their 7-2 success at Willenhall move to within one point of the leaders.
In the ladies league Warley lead the field on 36 points. However, they have been put under pressure due to their surprising 3-2 reversal in their latest game against Wednesbury and Wolverhampton, who won 3-2 at Great Wyrley are now only two points behind with a game in hand.

Highwood Arrows, with the help of a 180 from Andy Hutchings, returned to winning ways in the Forest of Arden Winter League with a comfortable 7-2 win over Mackadown Social. But there was some bad news for the chasing pair Red Arrows and Glades. Red Arrows went down 5-4 at home to the Harvester, the team that handed out Highwood Arrows first defeat of the campaign last week and Glades lost by the same 5-4 margin in their home tie with Sheldon Heath Social Flights.
