Highwood Arrows made it eleven wins in as many games in the Forest of Arden Winter League, when they beat local rivals Highwood 7-2. With 22 points Arrows are four clear of the chasing pack. Glades, with a 9-0 win over Cock and Hens are second, with Red Arrows, who beat Sheldon Heath Social Flights 7-2 third on 16 points. Hobs Meadow lost ground and slipped to fourth on 14 points, following a 5-4 defeat at the hands of their own Hobs Meadow Mixes.

The Bell lost ground in the race for the division title of the Harborne and District Winter League, when they surprisingly went down 6-3 at the W.C.WMC. Now on 16 points Bell are four adrift of leaders Midland Red, who returned from the Highlander with a close 5-4 victory.
In division two, Smethwick Labour Club consolidated their pole position with a 9-0 whitewash over Weoley Castle. Second in the table Hillyfields, who are on the same 18 points as Smethwick Labour, recorded a 5-4 win at home to the Punchbowl.
The top two teams in division three, Cock Inn and Travellers Rest met on the Travellers board the home side chalking up a vital 6-3 win to put them on level points with the Cock and knock the Cock off the number one spot.

2-1 wins against Gary Mills and John Turner keeps Mick Smith top of the table in the Belgrave Social Individual League, with 74 points. Just three points behind Smith is Robert Mills, who had 3-0 wins over Steve Tarbuck and Jim Williams to keep the pressure on the leader.
Gary Mills, Steve Cain, Steve Hawkes, Robert Mills and Derek Fardon all notched maximums.

A.180 from P.Sinnett and a 156 finish by R.Goldbey helped Malt Shovel to a 6-3 home win over Sheldon Dukes in the premier division of the Sheldon and District Winter League. D.Cooney (Castle Vale Residents Association) was another player to hit a 180, as his side also won 6-3 against Hobs Meadow.
A 148 finish by P.Quinn was not enough for his team, Glebe Community Centre to avoid a 5-4 home defeat at the hands of the British Telecom Club in division one.
