In their fourth division fixture in the BDO Inter County Chmapionships West Midlands finished the year in style as they played hosts to Shropshire at Gilberts Bar, Willenhall. They continued their fine start to the season by making it four consecutive wins to keep them top of the promotion table on 104 points, a lead of sixteen points on their nearest rivals Gwynedd. In turn the men’s ‘A’ and ‘B’ won 9-3 and 8-4, while the ladies ‘B’ won 5-1 and the ‘A’ finished on the wrong side of a 4-2 verdict. Award winners were Darren Williams (26.84), Dave Evans (25.24), Kath Jenkins (19.02) and Gill Cook (16.19).
